Muffin with Nazareth cheese and pesto

Ingredients for 5 people

  • 180 g grated Nazareth cheese
  • 150 g Nazareth butter
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh finely chopped basil
  • 1 egg
  • 2.5 dl milk
  • 4 tbsp pesto
  • 50 g roasted pine nuts 
  • Put the flour in a bowl and mix with the baking powder, pepper, salt, Nazareth cheese, basil, eggs, milk, melted butter and the pesto in this order until you have a smooth mixture.

  • Butter the baking tins and fill ¾ with the dough.

  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in a pre-heated oven at 180° C.

  • Decorate with the pine nuts.
